The Minnesota Vikings spoiled the Detroit Lions’ playoff hopes with a 23-10 victory on Thursday. Lions rookie defensive tackle Tyleik Williams recorded the first sack of his NFL career despite the loss.
The Dallas Cowboys emerged victorious by a score of 30-23 over the Washington Commanders. Malik Hooker converted 3 tackles in the win. Terry McLaurin caught 5 passes for 63 yards in the loss.
The Cleveland Browns recorded their fourth win of the season in a low-scoring affair against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Browns linebacker Jerome Baker converted 5 tackles in the victory. Cornerback Denzel Ward played a key role in the win. Ward was targeted 3 straight times and allowed zero catches in the final series of the game. The 5x Pro Bowler told reporters after the game, “I don’t know whose bright idea it was to try me for the game for three plays in a row.” Jack Sawyer added an interception in the loss.
The Cincinnati Bengals routed the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 37-14. Cardinals defensive back Denzel Burke converted 6 tackles in the loss. Rookie linebacker Cody Simon also had a stout performance, converting 15 total tackles.
The New Orleans Saints defeated the Tennessee Titans by a score of 34-26. Chris Olave recorded 8 catches for 119 yards and 1 touchdown. Olave also reached 100 receptions on the season for the first time in his NFL career. Saints Defensive End Chase Young was simply dominant, recording 4 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. The former second overall pick is having a career year in his 7th season with 19 total tackles and 8.5 sacks. The former Washington Commander is in his second season with the Saints and appears to be fitting right in.
