
The Buckeyes were well represented this week in the NFL as 3 former members of last season’s national championship roster each performed well enough to earn a nomination for the Rookie Of The Week.
Lathan Ransom and the Carolina Panthers stunned the Los Angeles Rams in a 31-28 victory. Ransom, who made his first career start, led the team with 11 tackles and a sack. His strong performance earned him a nod for the NFL Rookie Of The Week Award. Ransom sustained a thumb injury in the game and his status for next week is uncertain.
The New England Patriots improved to 11-2 on the season with a win over the struggling New York Giants. Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson rushed for 67 yards on 11 attempts. Henderson was also nominated for the NFL Rookie Of The Week.
The Cleveland Browns dropped to 3-9 in the 26-8 loss against the San Francisco 49ers. Browns running back Quinshon Judkins had a strong performance, rushing for 91 yards. Judkins was the third and final Buckeye to receive a nomination for Rookie Of The Week.
The Arizona Cardinals fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 20-17. Marvin Harrison Jr. was excellent in the loss, catching 6 passes for 69 yards. Cody Simon and Baron Browning anchored the Cardinals defense, combining for 13 total tackles. Emeka Egbuka caught 4 passes for 42 yards for the Buccaneers in the win.
The Denver Broncos held off the Washington Commanders in a thrilling 27-26 victory. Broncos linebacker Jonathon Cooper added 6 tackles in the win. Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught 7 passes for 96 yards. The Broncos are now 10-2 on the season.
The Buffalo Bills improved to 8-4 on the season with a 26-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bills defensive end Joey Bosa added a sack in the victory, bringing his total to 5 on the season. Malik Harrison and Cameron Heyward each converted 8 tackles in the win for the Steelers.
