2026 4-star athlete Legend Bey has signed with Ohio State. The Texas Native was previously signed to the Tennessee Volunteers.
Legend Bey’s recruitment had been a series of twists and turns that you don’t see in a typical recruitment. Bey is not allowed to sign his letter of intent until he turns 18 years old next week. Bey’s mother reportedly expressed her desire for him to sign with Tennessee despite his commitment, and would not sign his letter of intent until he flipped to the Volunteers. He announced his decision to flip to Tennessee and posted a series of cryptic messages on his social media soon after. Bey has now signed with Ohio State less than two weeks later.
Legend Bey is an intriguing recruit for many reasons. The Texas native brings elite athleticism and has shown his versatility, playing multiple positions on offense. The North Forney High School product threw for 1,341 yards, 15 TDs, and 3 interceptions, while rushing for 1,626 yards and 23 touchdowns in the 2025 season. Bey also runs track where he posted 100-meter dash time of 10.73. Bey’s versatility will be a huge boost for this Buckeyes offense and it will be interesting to see how he is featured.
Bey is now the 28th and final member of the Buckeyes 2026 class. The class ranks 6th in the nation. The turnaround comes with a sigh of relief as the team struggled to land recruits following the National championship. A late push in late November and early December provided a massive boost for the program and made up for lost time. Now, the staff will look to carry that success over to the 2027 class where they trend for many of the top recruits in the nation. The class ranks 3rd in the nation with commitments from Brady Edmunds, Angelo Smith, Brody McNeel, Kellen Wymer, and more.
